Acne General Instructions
Dear Patient,
You have been given a specific set of instructions at your last doctor appointment. Please refer to that or message us on the floating chat button to get those details/products if you do not have them. Otherwise, here are the general instructions for the regimens:
Gradual Onset Instructions:
Week 1: Use two nights (ex. Mon/Thurs)
Week 2: Use three nights (ex. Mon/Wed/Fri)
Week 3: Use four nights
Week 4: Use five nights
Week 5: Use six nights
Week 6: Use seven nights
At any point, if you experience excessive peeling, irritation, and/or redness, skip a night.
Use this medication sparingly at bedtime. Make sure your face is completely dry or you may risk irritation. Use a pea size small amount to cover your entire face. Dab it all over your face (not just the affected areas since it is preventative), then rub it in.
Reminders
This medication may cause your skin to be more sensitive; therefore, avoid waxing, lasers, facials or other procedures that could cause irritation to the skin. It is very important to wear sunscreen everyday as you are slightly more likely to get a sunburn without appropriate protection.
Females should NOT become pregnant while using this medication.
Acne Recommendations:
Use non-comedogenic moisturizes. Gentle brands: CeraVe, Vanicream, La Roche Posay Double Repair
Use Hydrocolloid pimple patches to prevent friction and to keep hands off of large pimples (use non-medicated patches)
Wipe down your phone with alcohol once a day
Clean makeup brushes once a week
Changing pillowcases once a week
Decreasing processed foods or high dairy products can help with some breakouts
Avoiding whey protein powder/drinks as it can influence acne breakouts
After any exercise, wipe face down with over-the-counter water wipes, gentle cleanser and water, Briotech spray, or La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water spray to get bacteria off of skin.
