Dysport & Xeomin

Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are all injectable neuromodulators, meaning they can temporarily relax nerve impulses to targeted muscles, therefore reducing contraction-inducted wrinkles.

Each brand has a slightly different formulation of the same substance, Botulinum Toxin A, but they all work the same way.  There is a reason these injectable neurotoxins are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the world. It’s simple, non-surgical, and there is no downtime from the procedure.  The procedure takes about 10 minutes to perform. Patients return to work right away. Results can last anywhere from 3-6 months, though individual results may vary. About 7-10 days after the treatment, the lines on your face that make you look tired, sad, mad and aged will soften, giving you a more relaxed, youthful appearance.  With time and consistent treatments, the lines will eventually disappear. It is also a highly effective preventative procedure. We at Village Dermatology believe in a natural look, not frozen. It is by far the cosmetic procedure with the highest patient satisfaction, and a wonderful way yet simple way to invest in yourself. The result is a refreshed, restored, and rejuvenated you.

Common areas Botox/Dysport and Xeomin are used include:  frown lines, forehead lines, lines around eyes (crow’s feet) and to lift the eyebrows.  Other areas that can be treated and are considered more advanced areas include decreasing a lip flip, gummy smile, soften lines above the lip (sometimes called smokers lines), neck bands, Nefertiti lift, improve a down-turned smile, soften a dimpled chin , and injections into the masseter muscle to decrease grinding, clinching or to slim out a square face.  Other areas commonly treated are under arms, hands, and feet for excessive sweating, known as hyperhidrosis. You can treat post Bell’s palsy for facial symmetry.
