Dr. David Marcus Wang
David Marcus Wang, MD MPH is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and dermatologist who specializes in skin cancer surgery and reconstruction. Dr. Wang graduated from Harvard University before attending Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He completed his training in dermatology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was appointed by the faculty to serve as chief resident. He completed his fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic oncology, and reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School and trained with world-renowned dermatologic surgeons at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. During his fellowship, he also obtained a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health to help achieve his goal of advancing the field of Mohs surgery and improving outcomes for skin cancer patients through clinical research.
He has published numerous articles in the top dermatology journals and has regularly lectured at local, regional, and national conferences. He received the prestigious Theodore Tromovitch Award in 2024 from the American College of Mohs Surgery, an honor given annually to one Mohs surgeon for outstanding research conducted during fellowship. As a former Houstonian who grew up in West University Place and attended River Oaks Elementary, Lanier Middle School, and Bellaire High School, Dr. Wang is delighted to return home to Houston.
When he's not working, Dr. Wang enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing tennis, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops.
