Although Restyane Defyne and Refyne are very similar, FDA-approved Defyne is a slightly firmer dermal filler. This makes it best suited for facial folds and lines that are very deep.

Restylane Refyne is similar to Defyne. However, the hyaluronic acid gel formulation in this product is a bit more flexible than that of Restylane Defyne. Refyne works best on folds and wrinkles that are relatively superficial.

Some patients benefit the most from using a combination of Restylane Defyne and Refyne.
